The University Lands

Found on an expansive 871 hectares of mountainous grassland in the tranquil town of Nsukka, the main campus of the University is approximately 80 kilometers north of Enugu, and is overshadowed by a very congenial and beneficial environment. The cool disposition and serene weather of the university is ideal for an atmosphere for one to contemplate on higher achievements.
Additionally, there abounds as much as 209 hectares of arable land accessible for a massive experimental agricultural farm. Another existing 207 hectares has been open for staff housing enlargement and infrastructural development.
Erstwhile Nigeria College Arts, Science and Technology Enugu, was incorporated into the University in 1961, and its structures and compositions developed into the Enugu Campus (200 hectares) of the University.
A new, state-of-the-art Teaching Hospital is under construction on a 500-hectare site at Ituku-Ozalla, which is 25 kilometers south of Enugu. The current facility rests on a 14-kilometer spread, comprising a large care-giving environment populated with consultants, specialists, surgeons and nursing staff. This is where our impressive health practitioners thrive and train.
