The Institute has a folk museum. The museum collects, preserves, documents and displays artifacts and other cultural materials. The museum carries out exhibitions to support the activities of artists and researchers with the approval of the Director and on the recommendation of the Exhibition Committees. Four categories of exhibitions are recognized by the Institute:

(i) exhibitions fully funded by the Institute,
(ii) exhibitions partially funded by the Institute,
(iii) group exhibitions sponsored by the Institute,
(iv) privately sponsored exhibitions.
