Candidates should request their former Universities/Institutions to send their academic and professional certificate transcripts to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies after paying the appropriate transcript transfer fee. Graduates of the University of Nigeria should also cause their transcripts to be so transferred. Student copy of transcript is not acceptable. 

Candidates are advised to apply early enough for their transcripts to be transferred from their former institutions to the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies to reach him not later than 30 April of the year of application. Application for transcript should be made before the completion of application form. The applications of candidates whose transcripts have not reached the School before the above date will not be considered.

Candidates must ensure that their official transcripts are received from their former Universities or Colleges before April 30. No catndidate will be offered admission if his/her official transcript is not available at the time of consideration of his/her application.

Availability of Supervisor
The Department is usually expected to assign an approved supervisor to every candidate as a condition for admitting such candidate into postgraduate programme of the University. Candidate shall not be admitted into a programme if no supervisor is available for him or her.

Request for Change of the Information Given in the Application Form
A request from an applicant for postgraduate admission for change of any information supplied in his/her application form including change of department, change of field of study, change of address, etc., must reach the Secretary not later than May 30 of the year in which the admission is sought.

Request for change coming after the above date will not be considered. Request for the deferment of admission will not be accepted except on the condition stated in Section 24(c)(ii) of the Postgraduate Studies Regulations.
