unn.edu.ng The Mimosa Pudica weed known in Nsukka as "Kpakorukwu and in Udi as Kpakochuku was resently discovered to have solar proporties suitable for the production of solar cell. This was disclosed by Pharm Nwaoga, Justus Amandianaze, Chief Technologist in the department of Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, University of Nigeria Nsukka during hispresentation at the 26th European Union Photovolataic Solar Energy conference and Exhibition held in Hamburg Germany, between September 5-9, 2011.

Anatsui was born in Anyako, and trained at the College of Art, University of Science and Technology, in Kumasi, in central Ghana. He began teaching at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 1975, and has become affiliated with the Nsukka group.

Born and raised in University of Nigeria, Nsukka, she left the country at 19 to the United States for further studies. She graduated summa cum laude (i.e. with highest honours) from Eastern Connecticut States University in 2001.
